PROJECT CHALLENGE/SOLUTION
Our goal was to design a cost-effective system to maintain strict temperature and humidity requirements for the archives and storage of government records while meeting LEED-CI goals for air quality, comfort, and energy usage.
Wiegmann designed and installed HVAC systems and the Delta Controls Building Automation System for this GSA office/conditioned warehouse/lab facility.
We also provided value engineering and HVAC contracting for the 475,000-square-foot National Archives and Records Administration Archives and Records Storage Facility in St. Louis, MO. Our engineering, construction and energy expertise on this design/build project saved the owner $3.6M in construction costs and more than $340,000 per year in energy costs through an HVAC systems redesign.
